School netball teams compete in provincial finals
Various netball teams from schools across Limpopo gathered at Hoërskool Pietersburg (PHS) on Saturday, where they competed in the provincial schools netball league finals.
POLOKWANE – Various netball teams from schools across Limpopo gathered at Hoërskool Pietersburg (PHS) on Saturday, where they competed in the provincial schools netball league finals.
PHS u/16A and first netball teams were announced as the overall provincial winners, while the u/15A and u/17A teams were second overall.
The other results were not available by the time of going to print.
In other tournaments, PHS rugby teams faced Louis Trichardt High School in friendly games. The u/14B match ended with a 17-17 draw, while the PHS u/15B lost 17-26.
The u/16B lost 15-20 and the second and third teams won 21-0 and 36-8 respectively.
In hockey, PHS u/14B dominated most parts of the play and managed to net five goals, while Louis Trichardt only answered with one goal. The u/15B team lost the match 2-0, while the u/16B team won 8-0.
The PHS second team defeated Louis Trichardt 6-1.
