ESKOM POWER ALERT: Stage 2 load shedding

POLOKWANE – According to Eskom, load shedding stage 2 will be implemented today (Sunday) from 07:00-12:00. Stage 1 load shedding from 12:00-22:00.

Areas to be load shed are:

07:00-08:00
B3 AREAS: Polokwane Ext. 44, Ext. 65 (African Jewel) Place of Safety, Sterkloop Agriculture on the Percy Fyfe Road.

08:00-10:00

B4 AREAS: Bendor, Cycad Centre, Cycad, Bendor Centre, Woodlands, Welgelegen, Eduanpark, Woodhill, Celtic Lodge and Coke.

10:00-12:00

B5 AREAS: Sterpark, Silverkruin, Bendor Village, McDonald Centre, between Thabo Mbeki and Grobler Streets and between Gemini and Gazelle Streets, SA Breweries, Mall of the North, Magnavia and Koppiesfontein.

12:00-14:00

B6 AREAS: Industria, Correctional Services, Hospitalpark, Blood Bank, HTS Tom Naude, Polokwane College, Cancer Hospital, Provincial Hospital, Noorderland High School, Woltemade and Dr Annecke Streets, BB Auto, SABC, Game Centre and Annadale.

14:00-16:00

B7 AREAS: Le Rouxville, Polokwane Ext. 16 and 17, Futura, Laboria and Polkwane Ext.

16:00-18:00

B8 AREAS: CBD, between Thabo Mbeki and Excelsior Streets and between Dahl and Biccard Streets.

18:00-20:00

B9 AREAS: Superbia, Westenburg, Nirvana, Between Mark and Onder Streets and between Grobler and Excelsior Streets, Indian Centre and Pick a Pay Centre.

20:00-22:00

B10 AREAS: Seshego Zone 8, Zone 4, Zone 1, Zone 5, Madibapark and Hospital View.

Eskom assures all customers that load shedding is done as a last resort, when absolutely necessary to protect the power system. Any unexpected change on the constrained and vulnerable power system will lead to a change in the stage of load shedding.
