TUMELO Aphane, a gr. 12 learner at Hoërskool Piet Potgieter, is a musical star on the rise and has already sold 50 copies of his first hip hop album, IDB.
MOKOPANE – TUMELO Aphane, a gr. 12 learner at Hoërskool Piet Potgieter, is a musical star on the rise and has already sold 50 copies of his first hip hop album, IDB.
“IDB stands for I Drop Bombs, I chose the name after one of my friends said ‘every track you make is the bomb’,” says Tumelo.
All of the songs were written and composed by Tumelo and the CD is sold for R30. He wants to become a musical star, a businessman and a motivational speaker after school and lives by the motto, “prosper through perfection!”
Tumelo says that the tape is the first part of a legacy he plans to leave behind one day.
