LEDILE Thamakga from Bochum was the winner of the Hansa Pilsener Brewed for the Dreamers competition, and was presented with a cheque of R500 000 at South African Breweries (SAB) in Polokwane on Friday.

According to SAB Polokwane sales manager, Bernard Kekana, the competition ran from October 15 to January 15.

“Entrants had to buy Hansa Pilsener and send in the unique bar code on the pack, also indicating which prize you would choose should you win. The grand prize was R500 000 to build or renovate a house,” Kekana explained.

“We are proud that the grand prize was won by someone from this province.”

Thamakga, a third year student at Empilweni College of Nursing, thanked SAB Polokwane.

“I am so happy that I am the winner of the competition. I thank God for the miracle that He performed for me. The money came at just the right time. I am going to renovate my house.

“The rest I am going to invest it in my studies,” Thamakga said.

“I love entering competitions and now my dream has come true.”
