President Jacob Zuma announced the details of Chabane’s official funeral in a statement on Tuesday morning.
The Official Funeral Category 1 is reserved for the following persons;
- Serving Ministers
- Speaker of the National Assembly
- Chief Justice of South Africa
- Chairperson of the National Council of Provinces (NCOP) and
- Premiers of Provinces
