Three suspects were caught in Welgelegen this morning for house robbery. According to information at our disposal the suspects entered the house of an elderly woman in Welgelegen this morning. She and her house worker were alone in the house. Information at this stage needs to be verified by the police, but a source said the women were tied up. The screams of a woman alerted neighbours who called the Edwel neighbourhood watch and the police.
The suspects fleed, but were apprehended by two men, it is not known if they are part of the Edwel neighbourhood watch. A third man, who was driving a getaway car, fled the sceen. Police were still following up leads.
