Limpopo couple cleaning up the competition

Ofhani and Portia Netshilungwi are the powerhouse couple behind Finest Chemical Mining, a successful cleaning detergent business.

LIMPOPO – Ofhani Kenneth Netshilungwi and his wife, Portia Azwinndini Netshilungwi, established Finest Chemical Mining in 2005, starting their journey as entrepreneurs from Makwarela township.

What began with selling sweets grew into a thriving business producing cleaning detergents including fabric softener, floor polish, multi-purpose cleaner, tile cleaner, and dish liquid.

In the early days, they purchased detergents from factories in Gauteng.

Recognising their potential to grow, they decided to manufacture their own products.

“We realised we could expand, so we opened our own manufacturing company,” said Ofhani.

Finest Chemical Mining now owns its own transport and factory, enabling smoother business operations and creating jobs for those in need.

“Our goal is to see ourselves in the mining industry one day. We’ve achieved milestones, including acquiring our own land and balancing our ventures with agriculture,” Ofhani said.

The brand was inspired by their love for cleanliness, driving them to create quality cleaning products that never disappoint and consistently meet customers’ expectations.

They are grateful to their loyal customers for their continued support, promising to maintain high standards of quality.

Ofhani explained that entrepreneurship offers him the freedom to create solutions that make a tangible difference.

“I love turning ideas into reality, empowering others, and contributing to sustainable development.”

Looking ahead, they aim to expand Finest Chemical Mining by opening branches, while also entering the mining industry.

He hopes to retail their products in major stores and supply local spaza shops, further growing the business.
