Luthuli Park to experience 6 hour electricity interruption

The Polokwane Municipality will conduct a temporary power outage in Luthuli Park to facilitate the Bloodriver Borehole Project.

POLOKWANE – Residents in Luthuli Park will experience a temporary power outage from 9:00-15:00 tomorrow (October 9).

Municipality spokesperson Thipa Selala says that this power interruption is necessary to allow contractors time to activate the Bloodriver Borehole Project, an initiative aimed at meeting the growing water demands of the community.

The project is part of the municipality’s broader strategy to augment the existing water supply, particularly during periods of high demand.

The Municipality urges residents to exercise caution during the power outage and treat all electrical wiring as live and recommends switching off all appliances to prevent potential injury or damage when power is restored.

Residents are advised to take necessary precautions during the power outage and report any concerns to the municipality’s customer service department.
