Damaged cables leaves Seshego without electricity

Damage to 11kV cables at the Hospital Substation has left Seshego without power, says the Polokwane Municipality.

POLOKWANE – A municipal team is working on restoring power to the Seshego area. Residents are without power as the Hospital Substation is currently off due to damage sustained by 11kV cables.
The Polokwane Municipality says certain sections will be restored soon but that the affected area (faulty section) will need to be isolated first.
“This step is necessary to conduct thorough tests and identify the specific cables that were damaged. Once these assessments are complete, repairs will follow, after which
full power restoration can commence,” Municipal spokesperson Thipa Selala said.
He added that the municipality is unable to provide an estimated time for full restoration.
