PEPPS hosts picnic and paint day for Gr 6 learners and parents

PEPPS hosts 'Picnic and Painting' event, providing Gr 6 learners and parents a chance to relax, bond, and explore their artistic sides.

POLOKWANE – PEPPS Gr 6 learners and their parents recently spent a creative morning together during the school’s ‘Picnic and Painting’ event.

Held on the school grounds, the event offered families the chance to relax, enjoy a picnic, and express their artistic sides through painting.

Event organiser Jaime-Lee de Jager explained that these grade-level events are designed to foster stronger bonds between parents and children.

“It’s important to have such moments, especially when parents and their children don’t often get individual time together in our busy lives,” she said. “This event allows them to sit, chat and paint in a relaxed setting, breaking away from the usual routine.”

Participants were given inspiration for their artwork but had the freedom to paint whatever their hearts desired.

The event was a refreshing opportunity for families to step out of their comfort zones and create lasting memories together.
