Polokwane Municipality announces service delivery app

The app will allow residents to directly report pressing service delivery issues such as potholes, pipe leaks, and electricity faults, right at their fingertips.

POLOKWANE – Expectations are high following the announcement of an impending service delivery app by the Polokwane Municipality.

The Executive Mayor, John Mpe, made the announcement at a Lepelle Northern Water (LNW) Golf Day dinner where he told the audience that the app promises to transform how residents engage with the municipality.

Mpe outlined a future where residents could directly report pressing service delivery issues such as potholes, pipe leaks, and electricity faults, right at their fingertips.

“We acknowledge that much more remains to be done. Our work is far from over, but we are committed to ensure Polokwane’s key landmarks and destinations are marketed effectively, bringing our city closer to its potential as a destination of choice,” a press release read.

During the dinner, Mpe also alluded to LNW’s vital mandate, which is to deliver water to the municipality in bulk.

“The collaboration between the Polokwane Municipality and LNW is not merely a strategic partnership but a lifeline for the entire municipality. There is an undeniable need for Polokwane and LNW to continue to work hand-in-hand to ensure that our people receive this precious resource,” he stated.

A launch date has not been announced for the app.
