Polokwane City FC bolster squad for PSL

City FC has strengthened the squad with the hopes that the new signings will help establish the team's presence in the league.

POLOKWANE – Polokwane City Football Club has strengthened their squad ahead of the upcoming Premier Soccer League season with the addition of Zihle Makhubele, Raymond Daniels, and Bonginkosi Dlamini.

The new signings are expected to play a crucial role in establishing the team’s presence in the elite league.

Tincy Tema, the club’s operations officer, expressed confidence in the trio’s potential contributions.

“We are building a team for the future, and it’s essential to have young, dynamic players who are eager for success. These players performed well in their first match of the MTN 8 against Sundowns.”

He also highlighted that additional players will be brought in to further strengthen the squad.

“The league is a marathon with 30 games to compete in. To succeed, we need a large and capable squad,” he said.

The PSL is set to begin on September 24, with Polokwane City facing Amazulu Football Club at the Peter Mokaba Sports Complex.

Tema assured fans of the team’s readiness, saying, “We have prepared thoroughly with numerous friendly matches, which have been as competitive as league games. This will be our first home match, and securing a win is crucial.”
