SK Ladies FC edge closer to championship

Sinthumulekutama Ladies FC moved closer to the championship title with a 3-0 win over Sealane Ladies, needing just one point to clinch Stream B.

LIMPOPO – In their Sasol Women’s League match at the Ramantsha grounds on Saturday, Sinthumulekutama Ladies FC secured a crucial 3-0 victory over Sealane Ladies, maintaining their chances for the title.

Sealane Ladies, known for their entertaining style of play, struggled to convert their opportunities into goals.

Sealane star striker, Patricia Pelusa, was well-marked by Rilwele Siabane and couldn’t find the back of the net. It became evident early on that it might not be Sealane’s day.

Sinthumulekutama gained momentum as the match progressed and took the lead with a goal from Gugu Ndebele, who finished off a well-timed pass from Juddy Baloyi.

Despite the setback, Sealane continued to push forward, creating promising chances from the midfield but were unable to score.

The hosts extended their lead in the 39th minute when Lesego Sethosa broke through Sealane’s offside trap and scored, sending Sealane’s goalkeeper, Dineo Mmola, the wrong way.

The score stood at 2-0 as the referee blew the whistle for half-time.

In the second half, Sinthumulekutama made a tactical substitution, replacing Khensani Koma with Orifha Ndou. Sealane also made three changes to their line-up, but it wasn’t enough to halt Sinthumulekutama’s momentum.

Sinthumulekutama sealed their victory with a spectacular third goal from Zwavhudi Musetha, who scored with a brilliant shot after a precise square pass from Ambani Ramadan.

With this win, Sinthumulekutama Ladies FC now needs only one point from their remaining three games to clinch the championship in Stream B and advance to the provincial playoffs against the winners of Stream A.
