The prestigious event took place on July 7 in Sandton.

The 15-year-old began her pageant journey four years ago, motivated by the opportunities for personal growth, self-expression, and advocacy that pageants provide.

“The combination of competition and creativity pushes me to strive for excellence while offering opportunities for public speaking, networking, and showcasing talents,” she shared.

In her four years of competing, Mokgadi has earned titles such as Miss Capricorn Pre-Teen Queen 2022 and Miss Pre-Teen Kids Star SA 2024.

She expressed immense pride in her recent achievement, stating,

“Being the runner-up in Miss Global Princess Africa is a remarkable accomplishment that fills me with a sense of pride and gratitude. While I aimed for the top title, this achievement still opens numerous doors for personal and professional growth. I am honoured to have my efforts recognised and excited to use this platform to continue advocating for causes I’m passionate about. This experience has been invaluable, and I look forward to what the future holds.”

Preparing for the pageant was a journey of self-discovery and skill refinement for Mokgadi. She focused on honing her public speaking and interview skills to articulate her thoughts clearly and confidently.

She also dedicated significant time to perfecting her wardrobe, ensuring each outfit reflected her style and elegance.

“Participating in pageants has taught me valuable lessons about self-confidence, resilience, and personal growth. It has shown me how to present myself confidently, handle competition and setbacks with grace, and continually strive for improvement,” she said.

Balancing academics and pageantry requires careful time management. Mokgadi has created a schedule that prioritises her schoolwork while allowing her to participate in pageants. Staying organised and disciplined helps her excel in all areas.
