POLOKWANE – The effects of a cut-off low system currently making its way across South Africa won’t have a direct effect on Polokwane, however, a drop in temperature is expected this week.

According to AccuWeather, temperatures will reach highs in the low to high twenties before dropping into the high teens over the weekend and into next week.

Sunny conditions will persist the first half of the week and Thursday will peak at 29ºC, while Tuesday and Wednesday will reach mild highs of 22ºC and 24ºC respectively.

Moving into the weekend, a drop in temperature is expected from Friday onward when highs of just 18ºC is expected from Saturday through to next Monday.

Despite low temperatures, plenty of sun is expected during the day.

Minimum temperatures will reach low single digits this week with a chilly 1ºC expected on Sunday morning.

No rain is expected this week, however, there is a 1% chance of showers forecast on Monday, Saturday and Sunday.
