Westenburg Sec School celebrates increase in pass rate

The school secured a 89.5 % matric pass rate for the class of 2023, which is a huge improvement from 80.2% the previous year.

POLOKWANE – Betty Boom, the principal of Westenburg Secondary School, attributed the school’s 2023 matric results to hard work and dedication shown by learners throughout the year.

The school secured a 89.5 % matric pass rate for the class of 2023, which is a huge improvement from 80.2% the previous year.

Kesetja Letswalo, Priven Setjie, Jackson Sekokotla and Selelo Marothi of the Class of 2023 at Westenburg Secondary School celebrate their results.

“We want to thank the community and the school governing body for the support they showed during the year. We are happy with the improvement. Learners and the teachers worked hard for this achievement.”

One of the matriculants, Gaiane Moloko thanked the school management for ensuring they have all the necessary resources to complete their grade.

Betty Boom, principal of Westenburg Secondary School is happy with the matric results.

“The teachers were there for us. They helped us with assignments and homework. It was a collective effort and wherever I am going I want to do well and make the school proud.”
