Young Limpopo pitcher one to watch at baseball finals

POLOKWANE – South Africa’s young baseball pitcher, Matsobane Maeta will be the man to watch at the upcoming Limpopo Baseball u/14 finals set for Seshego Softball Diamonds in upcoming months.

Maeta will represent Botlokwa Trailblazers and will face Mamaolo Rebels, Seshego Cannons, Mashashane Cannibals, Moletjie Cheetahs, Mankweng Pioneers, Solomondale Gama Changers, Indermaak Die Beste and Mentz Spartans.

Maeta was included in the SA team that represented South Africa in the World Baseball Softball Confederation’s Youth Baseball World Championship’s sixth edition in July last year in Tainan, Taiwan.

“I am happy that I will be competing in the league with other top players from the province. I am looking forward to learning from them. I want to play more games so that I can cement my position in the national team.”

“The knowledge they have acquired at their respective World Cup events will help us a great deal when they share these with their peers.”
