Polokwane wine festival moved to December

The founder of JNW Wine, Jay Nkosi, said they hope to turn the event into an annual one that will bring different people together.

POLOKWANE – The first Polokwane Ultimate Wine Experience festival, that was set to take place on September 2, has been moved to December 9 at Irecks Polokwane Functions and Events.

“I felt the need to bring the ‘Durban July and J&B Met’ feel experience to Polokwane with the aim to provide an opportunity for the city to expand its personal knowledge about different grape varieties and wine types, and the intricacies of selecting and tasting wines,” said the founder and owner of JNW Wine SA, Jay Nkosi.

The festival proudly brings you fashion, horses, unlimited wine sipping and tasting, delicious food, live music from local artists and more.

He told Polokwane Observer that the team has always connected with local traditions, music, gastronomy and of course, the best of JNW wines.

Nkosi was born in this province and through his research realised that more people need more knowledge about wine and food pairing.

“We want to turn this event into an annual event. We hosted JNW Cabernet Critters which wasn’t an annual event, but it was still very special. My biggest aim is to see this event bringing different people together and to grow infinity. If you thought you’ve sipped, then you’ll enjoy this event even more.”
