POLOKWANE – Hockey players from Mitchel House tested their skills against those of neighbouring schools at a mini hockey festival hosted by Mitchell House on August 26.

Spurred on by their parents and guardians who came to support, learners showed their capabilities by unleashing their skills to add more excitement on the day.

While many were celebrating the goals they scored, others focused on their improvement game.

Ginnel Ward, the hockey coach at the school said they were happy to see learners having fun.

“Today it’s not about winning or losing, but exposing the children to hockey. We want them to love the sport and excel in it. They are still young and the future looks bright.”
