Mitchell House learners return to their home away from home

The new school year has started and residents of Mitchell House's hostel had to return to their home away from home.

POLOKWANE – The new school year has started and residents of Mitchell House’s hostel had to return to their home away from home.

On Monday the learners who will stay at the hostel during the school term, had the opportunity to meet old friends and make new ones as they settled back into school life.

Jojo Mamogobo is a new resident and said he looked forward to the year ahead. His mother, Evelyn, said she would definitely miss him at home.

Misu Mhlanga and his friend Menge Mgwebu are also first-time boarders. “I think we will like it here. I don’t think they are so strict as they are at home,” Menge said.

For Ngwako Moloto and his friend DK Ramashala it will be their last year in the hostel as they are both gr.12 learners.

Melo Ngidi will only stay a few weeks until her parents have moved into a house, but she told Review she would love to stay in the hostel forever.
