Wessel said they want to remain competitive throughout the competition.

“We are currently building and repairing the cars, and have been working on the vehicles’ suspension and engines. We want to make sure that all the vehicles are ready for the race. It is going to be an intensive race, and we are expecting 100 racers from Gauteng and North West.”

He said they hope their members will enjoy the race.

He pleaded with small businesses to sponsor some of their drivers who will participate.

“We will be participating in a big race and this is a chance for them to market their businesses. We don’t need money, we just need someone to sponsor fuel and tyres perhaps.”

He said prospective sponsors will be given the opportunity to display their logos on the club’s cars. For more information contact Wessel on 072 527 9275 or 015 297 1072.
