Two people, Mitch en Tammy Sargant, were killed on Thursday morning when a micro-light airplane crashed on a farm near Hoedspruit.

Provincial police spokesperson, Col Ronél Otto, confirmed that the micro-light crashed and said the deceased were a brother and sister.
“Farm workers saw the micro-light go down and went to look for it. They found the crash site and the deceased. The workers alerted the police of the accident and police responded to the call,” she said.
Otto said the cause of the crash was unknown and investigations were underway.
An inquest docket was opened to determine the cause of the accident and the South African Civil Aviation Authority was informed of the crash.
