Rob Anderson says farewell to Lim Aquatics

Rob Anderson, the now ex-vice president of Limpopo Aquatics, says he wants to focus on his business and family after 12 years in the position.

POLOKWANE – Legendary swimming instructor and administrator, Rob Anderson, vacated his position as vice president of Limpopo Aquatics in March.

Anderson, who has produced national swimmers from the province, leaves the federation after 12 years of service.

He said he now wants to focus on his business and family.

“I have given my all to the federation and we were doing this for our children and their legacy. My business is doing well and I want to focus more on that and spend more time with my family.”

He says his fondest memories at the federation were their ability to change the demographics and open up swimming to everyone.

“We now have African swimmers in the federation who are doing well nationally and internationally.

“I was part of the team which organised the National School Swimming Championship in Polokwane in 2017, which was a huge success.

“We had swimmers from all the provinces and I am glad to have been part of the organising committee. I am going to miss interacting with the young swimmers and sharing my expertise,” he concluded.
