Sweet victory for Sweet Girls United

Sweet Girls United won a friendly match against Sunny Blades after the ball found the back of the net twice in the game.

POLOKWANE – Sweet Girls United played a friendly match against Sunny Blades Ladies Legacy FC on April 1.

Playing u/17, Sweet Girls won the match after scoring two goals against their opponents.

The first goal was scored 10 minutes into the match, while the other goal was scored in the second half.

Sunny Blades Ladies captain Rametse Mosima said although losing is never a good thing, she appreciates her team’s commitment.

“As the captain of the team I am disappointed, but I am thankful for my team mates and their hard work.”

The team acknowledged their loss against Sweet Girl and indicated that their area of improvement is largely in terms of their defence.

Sweet Girls captain, Rasebotja Basetsana said they had worked hard in terms of preparation.

“We trained very hard on the days leading up the match.

“Coach Rapanyane kept us on our feet, with morning training sessions starting at 06:30 and once again returning for an afternoon fitness session at 15:00. We are grateful for the victory,” Rasebotja added.
