Foreign national sought by police for murder of Mahwelereng woman

MOKOPANE – The police in Mahwelereng have launched a manhunt for a foreign national suspected of killing his 23-year-old girlfriend in the Mozumbane village on October 26.
Police spokesperson Brigadier Motlafela Mojapelo said Thabiso Mdibaniso was found in a pool of blood with multiple stab wounds on Thursday (October 27).
“Preliminary police investigations revealed that an argument ensued between the suspect and the victim. We are calling on Sthembiso Elia Dube popularly known as (Evens Khosa) to avail himself at the nearest police station to help with investigations,” a statement read.
The provincial police commissioner Lieutenant General Thembi Hadebe has urged anyone with information to come forward and assist the police in apprehending the suspect.
“Anyone with information can contact the investigating officer Sergeant Patrick Bebeda on 083 721 8622, the crime stop number 08600 10111, the nearest police station or the My SAPSApp. Police investigations continue,” he said.
