Learners in their various grades were given activities to complete in their selected groups in an allocated time.
Gr 4 English teacher and organiser, Andrea Wiggill said the day was about learners having fun.
“In honour of our 90th celebration we decided to let our learners have fun with a lot of activities, balloons and lots of sweet things to eat just like a birthday party.”
Learners contributed to the ideas of activities that were hosted at different stations. Learners enjoyed hoola hoops sprints, tug-of-war, sack races, water scoop, wall climb, ladder walk, up and under, olympic rings, walk plank and various inflatables.
Gr 7 learner Shekinah Kgonyane said the celebration was made perfect by the warm weather, since everyone had a great time playing in the water, paint, and hoola hoops while they also enjoyed some ice cream in the sun.
