What2Watch: This week’s worth-the-watch

Here is Review’s rundown of what to stream on Showmax and Netflix this week.

POLOKWANE – Streaming services such as Showmax and Netflix have made it possible to watch your favourite series or movies on demand, whenever you want to.

This however makes it even more difficult to decide between the magnitude of options available – that’s where we come in.

Review has put together a list of shows you should stream on your favourite platform.

What to Watch this week on:

Showmax:

Series: Minx

In 1970s Los Angeles, an earnest young feminist (Ophelia Lovibond from Feel Good and Elementary) joins forces with a low-rent publisher (Critics’ Choice nominee Jake Johnson from New Girl) to create the first erotic magazine for women.

Ray Donovan: The Movie picks up where the seventh and final season of the Emmy-winning series left off, with Mickey (Oscar winner Jon Voight) in the wind and Ray (eight-time Emmy nominee Liev Schreiber) determined to find and stop him before he can cause any more carnage.

For the kids: Rapulani!

The delightful children’s book by Yolanda Keabetswe Mogatusi comes to life in English, isiZulu, Tswana and Afrikaans to tell the story of a little girl with big, big feelings … and even bigger hair, whose wild magic helps her navigate her confusing emotions as she mourns the loss of her mom.

Netflix:

Series: Fate: The Winx Saga

Determined to master their enchanting powers, a group of teens navigate rivalry, romance and supernatural studies at Alfea, a magical boarding school.
