Venda Football Academy part amicably with coach Loftman

The Venda Football Academy have won one out of four games played under Michael Loftman who recently resigned as head coach.

LIMPOPO – The Venda Football Academy (VFA) parted ways with coach Michael Loftman last Tuesday.

The two parties agreed to end the relationship as the team failed to collect points in their last matches. They already played four matches, won only one and lost three.

Assistant coach Sibusiso Makhula has been appointed as caretaker-coach.

VFA chairperson Itani Munzhelele confirmed Loftman’s departure. He revealed that it was not easy to say goodbye to Loftman.

He confirmed that they had received the resignation letter. He admitted that they had parted ways with Loftman amicably.

“Life in the Motsepe Championship division is tough and we are ambitious, with a goal to achieve and therefore we had to go for the best,” said Munzhelele.

He said that Loftman had contributed significantly to bringing the team to where it was today.

Micheal Loftman commented that the squad is not well balanced, and their fitness levels needed work.

He further stated that he did not want to waste the club’s time and money by promising that he would promote the team to the elite league.
