TRAFFIC ALERT: Taxi protest causes congestion on N1 north

Transport media liaison officer Mike Maringa said motorists should expect delays between Louis Trichardt and Polokwane.

POLOKWANE – The Department of Transport has deployed law enforcement officers to monitor a taxi protest on the N1 North.

Traffic is heavily congested on the N1 North between Louis Trichardt Polokwane, with majority of the back-up near Matoks.

Transport media liaison officer Mike Maringa said motorists driving on the N1 North should expect delays as the taxis are driving very slow.

The reason for the protest is unknown.
