The woman and her sons, aged 2 and 3, were reportedly last seen at Donald Fraser Hospital last week.

LIMPOPO – The police in Thohyandou have launched a search operation for 28-year-old Muano Nelufule and her two sons, Khomola Vhahone (2) and Hlungwane Thendo (3) from Malavuwe Tshivhazwaulu village.

Muano and her sons were reported missing on Wednesday (February 2).

According to police spokesperson Sergeant Maphure Manamela it is alleged that on Wednesday (January 26) the toddlers fell sick and their mother took them to Donald Fraser Hospital where they were admitted on arrival.

“It is further alleged that on Wednesday (February 2) she phoned the children’s grandmother at 14:00 to inform her that that they were discharged. She requested that she wait for them at a certain bus stop,”

Manamela said the trio never arrived and when the grandmother phoned her to check how far they were, the phone was on voicemail. “The grandmother told police she has not heard from them since.”

The police requested anyone with information about their whereabouts to contact the investigating Officer, Sergeant Nekhavhambe Rembuluwani, on 071 511 1213. Alternatively they can contact the 24-hour Crime Stop on 086 001 0111, the nearest police station or use the MySAPSApp.
