SAPS search for missing toddler (3) continues

The three-year-old child went missing while in the care of his father, the police say.

LIMPOPO – The search for three-year-old Mike Fereva continues after he disappeared from his family home in Mianzwi village, near Mutale on Thursday evening (February 3).

Police spokesperson Sergeant Mienkie Ramakgoakgoa said the child was in the care of his father when he disappeared without a trace.

Ramakgoakgoa said the victim’s mother told police that she had to accompany a relative to hospital and had left her sleeping son at  home with his “intoxicated” father. “The mother alleged that she left the house at around 23:00 on Thursday and when she returned home the following morning at 05:00 the child was missing,” she added.

The child’s father also didn’t know of his whereabouts, Ramakgoakgoa explained.

Police searches conducted in and around the area have been unsuccessful. SAPS appeals to the public to assist with information that can hep reunite the toddler with his family.
