DAD ready to create awareness
The third community meeting with Devils Against Drugs (Dad) was held in the city on Tuesday. Various organisations were also represented including Meteffect Recovery Centre and the South African National Council on Alcoholism & Drug Dependence.
POLOKWANE – The third community meeting with Devils Against Drugs (Dad) was held in the city on Tuesday.
Various organisations were also represented including Meteffect Recovery Centre and the South African National Council on Alcoholism & Drug Dependence.
During the meeting it was decided that Dad would start their drug awareness campaign by issuing flyers at toll gates over the festive season, as well as at some upcoming motorcycle events over the next few weeks.
These events included:
• The Limpopo North Toy Run on Sunday. Bikers will leave from the SAB soccer field and proceed to the short circuit track on the Silicon road.
• Club 184’s year-end function on Saturday December 6 starting at 10:00 from 70 Vermikuliet Street.
• The Final Run (motorcycle run) on Wednesday December 31. This will start at Club 184 and end at Soetdorings Country Club.
• The Dynamite Motorcycle Rally from Friday January 30 to Sunday February 1 to be held at Soetdorings Country Club.
DAD also requested sponsorships for the printing of the flyers, as well as promotional material such as banners.
