Extramural activities to pick and choose for kids at the mall

From karate to modelling and everything in between, the club day at Mall of the North offered activities for every child.

POLOKWANE – This annual event took place on January 28 and 29 at the Edgars court. The event saw various after school clubs, educational clubs and hobby clubs come together to exhibit what they to offer as extramural activities to children.

Clubs such as Chef Prodigies and EQ4Kids along with ballet and gymnastic clubs were ready to provide information as well as demonstrations to get the young visitors of the mall’s attention.

Some of the clubs offer their activities during school hours for preschoolers and in the afternoons and evenings for older children. In some instances there are also classes on Saturdays to accommodate busy bodies.

The club day encouraged parents and children to explore the extramural activities in Polokwane and to engage with the various clubs to find an activity that suits them best.

The various clubs also had an opportunity to show off some of their skills at the Game court. Karabo Mamabolo, one of the younger visitors at the club day, says she wanted to learn how to bake. “I am 10 years old and would like to bake. I am going to ask my mom to let me join the baking club so that I can bake nice cakes.”
