On January 15 the Polokwane Golf Club welcomed 129 players on the greens, ready to compete in a better-ball format club day.

POLOKWANE – In the better-ball format, each golfer hits his/her own ball throughout the round, but after each hole only the best score of one player is recorded and counts as the score for the specific hole.

Each hole’s scores are added after 18 holes and the team with the lowest total wins.

Mpho Makhado drew the jackpot for holes 8, 12, 16 and 18, but there were no winners. Two club players on the day were Ray Mushaike, Johan Viljoen, Jaco Laas, Benhardt Steyn (Sr), Charles Hardy and Riekert Erasmus.

Winners:

1. Liezel and Japie van den Berg with 43 points.

2. Mpho Makhado and David Medupi with 42 points.

3. Nola and Weyden Peceur 41 points count-in.
