Celebrate New Year’s Day with a special Parkrun

Interested participants should register and dress in red, blue, green or white on the day, says Parkrun volunteer Jaco Mostert.

POLOKWANE – Whether you want to jog, run or walk, Parkrun is the best way to spend your Saturday mornings – regardless of where you are in South Africa.

Polokwane Parkrun officially opened again on October 9 and volunteer Jaco Mostert says it is a way of promoting healthy living every Saturday morning from 07:00 at the park opposite Tom Naudé Technical High School.

He says everyone is free to join the run.

Register on www. parkrun.co.za where you will receive a barcode that will allow you to participate.

From here, your official results will be emailed to you after the run, Jaco added.

“Anyone can join! Even if you don’t want to actually run, you can still promote healthy living by being a volunteer or a spectator.”

Jaco says a special run will take place on January 1 and interested participants should register and dress in red, blue, green or white on the day.
