Polokwane residents gather to pray for Moti family
More than a hundred people earlier gathered at the Moti business premises in Nirvana to pray for the family.
POLOKWANE – “Thank you.”
This was the Moti family’s message to the community Polokwane this morning, after more than a hundred residents gathered to pray for them in what is arguable their most trying time.
The initiative, organised by Jana Taylor, Sharese Ferns and James van den Bergh was held in the Nirvana at the business premises of Nazim Moti, the father of the four brothers who were abducted early on Wednesday morning. They are yet to be returned to their family.
The gathering saw members of various faith-based groups come together to pray for the boys’ safe return and as a gesture of support for the family.
The overall message from those who attended, was the hope that the boys would be returned to their family today and not a day later.
Bruno Zanna opened the prayer session with some words of encouragement, before the group divided into smaller groups to pray.
“Where there is unity, God provides a blessing. Let us today believe in the hope that the boys will return home safely.”
Solly Hassan, a Nirvana community member thanked everyone who made the effort to come and pray.
“This is a tremendous effort for which we are grateful. We stand behind the family and trust the boys will return home safely.”
The Moti family sent a message of thanks to one of their employees who attended the gathering, saying the effort was much appreciated.
Several congregations have sent messages of support and have also formed prayer groups to pray for the boys’ safe return.
The family is yet to receive information on the whereabouts and the well-being of the four boys.
