Local clinics now walk-in vaccination sites
A total of seven clinics in Polokwane will open their doors as walk-in vaccination sites. They are:
POLOKWANE – Limpopo Department of Health will open primary health care facilities as daily Covid-19 vaccination walk-in centres from Friday (September 17).
Health MEC Dr Phophi Ramathuba says the department has decided to lead the Covid-19 vaccination expansion programme to Primary Health Care (PHC) facilities to make Covid-19 vaccines more accessible to the public.
“We have decided to open clinics and health care facilities as a way to expand our vaccination programme and increase access to vaccines. We want to see everyone being vaccinated so that we quickly reach herd immunity.”
A total of seven clinics in Polokwane will open their doors as walk-in vaccination sites. They are:
Rethabile Clinic – Polokwane East
Evelyn Lekganyane Clinic – Polokwane East
Sello-Moloto Clinic – Polokwane West
Lonsdale Clinic – Polokwane West
Seshego Zone 4 – Polokwane West
Mamushi Clinic – Polokwane East
Mothiba Clinic – Polokwane East
The clinics will be open from 08:00 to 16:30 and residents are encouraged to bring their ID or driver’s license to the vaccination clinic to register and get their Covid-19 jab.
This new initiative will be officially launched tomorrow by the MEC together with the Limpopo Premier, Stanley Mathabtha at the Semenya Clinic, Ga-Semenya Village in the Polokwane municipal area.
“We encourage our people to make use of the window period where our provincial Covid-19 cases are low and visit our clinics and health care facilities to get vaccinated to avoid the aftermath of the predicted fourth wave,” says Mathabatha.
