EX: Bead stringer Ronald Dikgari (33) wants to help those who are passionate about arts and crafts through a six-month course.

BEAD stringer Ronald Dikgari (33) designs and manufactures beaded jewellery and accessories and has his own company called Dironraps Business Enterprise and Accessories. The entrepreneur hails from Seshego Zone 3 and established his business in 2017.

“My business is located at the Limpopo Jewellery Business Incubators in Seshego Industrial Park and I make beaded handbags and purses, side bags specifically for males, bow ties, ties, bracelets and other beaded accessories,” he says. He also designs and manufactures wedding and engagement rings, earrings, necklaces, pendants and any metal design made of silver, gold, bronze or copper.

He explains that his mother taught him to bead and thereafter he joined the incubators where he applied for a jewellery design and manufacturing learnership in 2018. He is currently taking a jewellery design course as an artisan.

Ronald tells BONUS that the name of his business, Dinoraps, is a combination of his full name Ronald Raphatle Dikgari and an ode to his father. “My father would call me ‘raps’ so the ending represents him,” he says. Besides his beaded designs, Ronald is also the director of Blaq-Dash Entertainment and dabbles in fashion.

“I have attended several fashion shows and I recently won second prize in the traditional jewellery category at the Global Enterprise Week (GEW) fashion show,” he says. As part of their social responsibility, Dinoraps will soon be launching a six-month beadwork training course for people who are passionate about arts and crafts.

“I am willing to hire anyone who impresses me during the course as the business also allows me to create jobs for unemployed youth.”

Ronald added that he is on the lookout for investment in his business.

“My business is developing and we manufacture 100% hand-made products and always aim for the best quality,” he says.
