Tom Naudé Technical High School tea time

There was plenty of tea and certainly hope of making a difference when women gathered at Tom Naudé Technical High School on August 14 for a Women's Day tea.

POLOKWANE – The British playwright Sir Arthur Wing Pinero said: “Where there is tea, there is hope.”

There was plenty of tea and certainly hope of making a difference when women gathered at Tom Naudé Technical High School on August 14 for a Women’s Day tea.

The school’s help council organised the team and women braved the cold to come together and create a warm atmosphere in celebration of Women’s Month and to give to charity.

The event was a day of fun and upliftment as the guest speaker, Marian Jordan, left the women feeling revived. There was also music by Elizma van Heerden and a fun round of Bingo to conclude the day.

Hanri Love, the guardian of the help council, explained that the day was about more than just fun and games. They managed to collect clothes and other non-perishable items which the women attending the event brought as gifts.

“The items will be donated to the welfare fund. We thank each and every contribution that was made because it is going towards the people in need,” she said.
