Manifestation of a township dream

'Drip' is the manifestation of a township dream that took Lekau Sehoana 16 years before he sold his first sneaker.

A year later, Drip has opened its fourth store, this time in Polokwane at Mall of the North.

The official opening of Drip took place on Saturday, 5 December with customers queuing as early as 07:00 for a pair of tekkies. A pair of Drip sold at a remarkably low price on the day.

Customers purchase their favorite pair of Drip tekkies.

Lekau says Drip is there to show that township dreams also count and that if you let your dreams guide you and you work towards them, they will happen. Drip is about going back to the township, and leaving footprints of hope.

“Our Slogan is The Township Dream, and it means no matter how big we get, we will never forget what made us. This brand originated in a shack but with international standards.
