POLOKWANE – Secretaries are the first face clients see when entering the building and are the people behind administrative tasks in an office. 2 September is recognised as Secretary Day and both DDKK inc. and Mall of the North wanted to thank their secretaries with special messages.

Shahida Hassin has been DDKK inc’s. recceptionist for the past 15 years and says the job gives her an opportunity to meet new people, which she loves. “No day is the same. I love helping my colleagues when they need it and I have to say, I have the best colleagues in the world,” she told Review. Shahida says concentration and friendliness is important for a receptionist as the position calls for you to help people. “Always be representable and have a neat and tidy working area,” she advised.

DDKK inc.’s management sent the following message for Shahida to celebrate Secretary Day: “Thank you for fulfilling the assigned functions with discretion and professionalism. We appreciate you more and more. “

Dina Bhimjee has been part of the Mall of the North family since 2012 with only a few years of absence. “The one thing I love about my job is working with people and helping them. It is very satisfying to have a happy client.” Dina’s advice to young people wanting to be secretaries is to be patient as you will be working with people who can be difficult. “You also need to sort out other problems that might challenge your patience,” she said.

The Mall’s management had the following message for Dina: “Every successful team is supported by talented administrative professionals – and Mall of the North is fortunate to have the very best. A big shout out and thank you for everything you do, not just on Secretary’s Day, but every other day.”
