While other shoppers were exhausting their budgets on Black Friday one lucky customer, Jonas Baloyi did not spend a single cent on the day but managed to walk away with a generator valued at R3 500 after winning the Wasa Pumps Trading competition.
The 60-year-old from Dichueneng village, Ga-Maja entered the competition after purchasing a complete water pump set for nearly
R7 000. Baloyi indicated that he shops at the store regularly as he installs water pumps at schools and households in his own and neighbouring villages and prefers Wasa Pumps because of the quality and affordability of their products. He recalled once spending over
R20 000 on a single transaction.
The generator, he indicated, will be of great help at his cousin’s tavern when there is load shedding. Baloyi thanked Wasa Pumps for a special Black Friday present and pledged his unwavering support to the outlet. The generator was donated by KLB Engineering.
