Golfers engage in battle of clubs on fairway

Fifty-eight local golfers participated in the Monthly Medal challenge played at the Polokwane Golf Club on Saturday.
After an intense battle, Edwin Mckays won a prize for overall best gross with 76 on a count in. Thabo Shingange made the opponents eat his dust in Men’s A-Division after finishing first with 70 nett while Les Cook claimed victory in Men’s B-Division with 73 nett on a count in with Weyden Pecuer taking the lead in Men’s C-Division with 71 nett. Ladies silver category was won by Belinda Schutte with 76 nett while Nola Pecuer finished on first spot in Ladies bronze after accumulating 79 nett.
Thomas Mnguni won Two Clubs that was paying 350 units. None of the golfers managed to get their hands on a jackpot lucky draw that was made by Desi Earle at holes three, 13, 14 and 16. The jackpot was standing at 2 070 units with 1 656 units payable.
