In its enduring strive to better the lives of its communities, Polokwane Municipality is currently implementing a R20 million project to supply water to the Moletjie East villages.
The project that has been in progress since November 2018 provided work opportunities for 54 community members of which 23 are females and breadwinners.
The project is in Phase 12 with just over 30% of the work done. The completion date is expected to be around September 2019.
Once completed, the project will benefit the communities of Makibelo, Mabitsela, Masobohleng, Chokoe, Kobo and Legodi villages. “Rural water schemes are implemented in phases and impact the lives of communities as the projects continue,” Communications and Marketing Manager of the municipality, Matshidiso Mothapo said.
