Polokwane City Football Club is looking forward to continue with their dominance over their neighbors Baroka Football Club when the two meet in their 22nd match of the Premier Soccer League (PSL) scheduled for Peter Mokaba Stadium on Saturday.
Both teams are coming into the match buoyed by their impressive results over the weekend.
Baroka who have been struggling with from lately, caused a major upset in Pretoria on Saturday evening when they trashed PSL title contenders Super Sport United 2-1 to move from 15th to the 12th position of the league.
City, in fine form throughout the season, showed class and tenacity to salvage a 1-1 draw against Kaizer Chiefs Football Club at Peter Mokaba Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
Currently 8th in the league with 29 points they would want to win as many matches in order to stay afloat.
Chief operations officer for Polokwane City, Tincy Tema, said they are expecting a tough match against Baroka. “We beat them in the first round and I am sure they would want to avenge themselves. We must acknowledge that they are a dangerous side. They beat one of the big teams in the league, Super Sport United last week and I am sure they would want to beat us as well,” Tema said.
