Pemps principal celebrates 50th birthday with learners

Headmaster of Pietersburg English Medium Primary School (Pemps) Desiree Conradie celebrated her 50th birthday with learners, colleagues and fellow principals on Monday.
The day saw learners singing birthday songs in their different vernaculars while showering her with hugs and gifts.
Conradie expressed her heartfelt gratitude towards learners, the school governing body and principals from local primary schools for taking time from their busy schedules to celebrate the day with her. “It was such a wonderful day. I felt special and I want to thank everyone who has played a vital role in my life and career. I also thank my family and my colleagues for supporting me and treating me with respect.”
Among the dignitaries who sent Conradie birthday messages was Executive Mayor of Capricorn District Municipality, John Mpe whose message was read by Andrea Wiggill, an educator at the school. It read thus: “Nothing speaks louder or effectively than a well lived life and a life of integrity. We are so grateful for impacting our children’s lives with your integrity. You will always be our number one principal. Have a great time as you celebrate your birthday. I wish you all the best as you turn a new age. Your moral support, enthusiasm, teaching style and hard work are exemplary. You always see the picture to its end. May you grow wiser, healthier and happier all the days of your life.”
MEC for Education, Ishmael Kgatjepe was also quoted by Wiggil to have said: “We celebrate another remarkable year of your life. The past has come and gone and the best years are yet to come. We wish you plenty of sweet memories in the coming year and we hope you have an amazing day. Enjoy this day, you deserve it. Wishing you a long happy and healthy life.”
