Visitors to Cancer Association of South Africa (Cansa) Polokwane can now enjoy the comfort of brand new couches in the reception area following the delivery of a modern lounge suite courtesy of Nictus Furnishers last Thursday. The donation also included a coffee table and carpets.
Nictus Manager Evelyn Liddle explained that it was part of the company’s corporate social responsibility programme.
She stated that they gladly plough back into the community by donating to different charity organisations and this time Cansa Polokwane was on top of the list.
Liddle said charities can approach the store if they need assistance but cautioned that although they also donate cash, the outlet mostly prefers to give furniture. She concluded by saying that they do so only once a year and according to a list hence on a first come, first served basis.
Cansa Polokwane Office Manager, Corné Marais said they were excited to receive the donation as their old couches were not in a good state anymore. She thanked Nictus Furnishers for the great gesture and stressed that Cansa values every donation received.
