Music legends from South African soil are expected to appear on stage during the 18th Mapungubwe Jazz Festival to be presented at the Polokwane Cricket grounds on Saturday.

Sport, Arts and Culture MEC, Thandi Moraka has urged the public, and specifically music lovers, to purchase tickets for the festival in time and avoid disappointment. Tickets are available at R100 per person from Computicket, Shoprite and Checkers outlets.
“We urge our people to buy tickets and support this festival. The purpose of this festival is to promote our rich and diverse cultural heritage and also deepen social cohesion and national identity as a people. Beyond this the cultural festival should demonstrate and expose the artistic skills of local, regional and international musical artists, thereby expanding their market as artists. This is in line with our vision to ensure that arts and culture contributes to economic growth and the livelihoods of the people of this country and Limpopo Province in particular,” Moraka remarked.
