Middle-aged man killed as family look on

Police are investigating the murder of a 35-year-old man who was allegedly beaten to death in front of his family in Dorp Street early Saturday morning.
Polokwane Police Spokesperson Lesiba Ramoshaba said the man, identified as Yasif Mehood, died on the scene after sustaining serious injuries. Mehood was reportedly assaulted while in the presence of family members when the alleged attacker entered the room of their flat and launched an attack on the deceased. According to Ramoshaba the assailant reportedly used an unknown object during the attack. Two cell phones, a laptop and an undisclosed amount of money were stolen from the flat.
No arrest has been made and anyone with information can contact investigating officer Moses Mohlaka on 082 565 8073.
