New leaders are ready to go

Northview Christian Academy announced its learner leaders for the next academic year during the school’s merit evening themed ‘Night of the Stars’ at Agapé Christen Gemeente recently.
A team of young leaders made up of boys and girls affirmed that they were ready to lead and set good examples to their schoolmates. Head girl Moshadi Mokhithi said she was capable and ready to execute her duties because she has an outspoken personality. She thanked the school for entrusting her with the role.
Newly elected head boy, Tshibollo Matla said the school saw potential in him for which he was grateful. He added that, despite his shyness, he would do his best to be a great leader next year and being the voice of the learners. Moshadi and Tshibolla will be supported by Oratile Malapane as the deputy head girl and Carles Tleane as the deputy head boy.
Additional members in girls’ group are Tererai Manyowa, Naomi Ledwaba, Reneilwe Mosoma, Kamogelo Baloyi, Oratile Moremi, Tshephiso Mompa, Tshego Makumba and Mpilo Twala. Boys’ group is made up of Tokollo Serole, Itumeleng Mathole, Phuti Hlako, Muhluri Mabaso, Hlulani Chauke, Junior Ramothoka, and Thibe Mogoane.
The merit evening also recognised learners, athletes and educators who continue to make the school proud in different categories such as academics, sport and Christian attributes.

The boys who were chosen as prefects are Carles Tleane (deputy), Tokollo Serole, Itumeleng Mathole, Phuti Hlako, Muhluri Mabaso, Hlulani Chauke, Junior Ramothoka, Tshibollo Matla (head boy) and Thibe Mogoane.
Educators who were honoured for their best performances are Soryna Fourie, Jenny Jonker, Biance de Nysschen, Oliver Gono, Helen Mpe, Dineo Thema. Absent: Thea van Heerden.
The top performing learners are, in front, Lebogang Rashalaha (Soccer Player of the Year, u.11), Phillimon Rametse (Junior Athlete of the Year), Carol Sekhale (Overall girls’ Achiever) and Gundo Bongwe (Soccer Player of the Year) at the back are Mpho Phakwana (Netball Player of the Year, u.13), Kgopotso Ngoepe (Bible Olympiad of the Year) Kamogelo Tisane Netball Player of the Year, u.12) and Maphuti Molele (Senior Athlete of the Year).
